Privacy (pilot draft)
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email, your city if you give one, the consent text you agreed to, and when. We do not store your IP address or browser details with it.
- Pilot testers: the name you give, the profile fields you choose to fill in, your hunts and budgets, the alerts and links you paste, the listings Tabby checks, copies of applications you confirm, and a ledger of what each check cost.
What we never collect
Social Security numbers, bank account or routing numbers, or card numbers. If a landlord's form needs them, you type them on that site only. These pages use no cookies, analytics, ads or third-party scripts.
How it is stored
- Your pilot profile, name and listing contacts are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) with a key unique to you.
- The public site can only add entries to the waitlist. It cannot read the list back.
- Hosting is on Vercel and the database is on Neon, both in the US. Our host keeps standard request logs.
How long we keep it
- Copies of applications you confirm: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Deletion on request: completed within 30 days (testers can delete their data in the app, which runs immediately).
- Waitlist entries: until you ask us to remove them, and no longer than 12 months.
- Ledger and Fair Housing audit records hold no personal details and may be kept.
Sharing
Your details go to a landlord only when you confirm that one application, and only the fields you leave ticked. Our service providers (Vercel, Neon, and Stripe in test mode) process data to run the pilot. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Payments
The pilot has no live checkout; payment testing runs in Stripe test mode. Card details are handled by Stripe. Tabby never sees or stores card numbers.
Your choices
Testers can download or delete their data in the app. Anyone can ask for a copy or deletion of their data, including waitlist entries, by emailing nicsins@gmail.com. The pilot is not meant for anyone under 18.
